This is a very practical tutorial: all instruction is self contained and directly relevant to building and running the race car we have developed and is being used in dozens of universities all over the world. The project code has been vetted and downloaded hundreds of times from f1tenth.org
How To Prepare: All attendees must bring their own laptop and charger. We recommend using a current version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari for an optimal experience. Create an account at http://courses.nvidia.com/join before you arrive.
Learn how to build, drive, and race 1/10th-scale autonomous race cars powered by the NVIDIA Jetson TX1/TX2, and gain a better understanding of the principles of perception, planning, and control. Find out how to use a robot operating system; integrate sensors such as IMU, cameras, and lidar; and implement algorithms for localization, mapping, path planning, and control. We’ll walk you through code to enable end-to-end driving for these race cars. The course will culminate in a live F1/10 race car demonstration.
