L9121 - How to Boost the Performance of HPC/AI Applications Using MVAPICH2 Library

Session Description

Prerequisites: There is no fixed pre-requisite. As long as the attendee has a general knowledge of HPC and GPU technologies, he/she will be able to understand and appreciate it. The lab is designed in such a way that an attendee gets exposed to the topics in a smooth and progressive manner. 

How To Prepare: All attendees must bring their own laptop and charger. We recommend using a current version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari for an optimal experience. Create an account at http://courses.nvidia.com/join before you arrive.

Learn about the current wave of advances in HPC and AI technologies to improve the performance of applications on modern, dense GPU-Enabled systems. We’ll provide an overview of relevant technologies explain how to use the popular OSU micro-benchmark suite and show example applications from HPC and AI to demonstrate how to effectively take advantage of MVAPICH2 in HPC and AI applications using MPI and CUDA/OpenACC.
How to Prepare: Attendees will log-in to remote high-performance compute clusters to execute HPC and AI applications in a distributed environment.
