Gerald Quon

Assistant Professor, University of California, Davis

Speaker Bio

Gerald Quon is a tenure-track assistant professor in the department of molecular and cellular biology at UC Davis, and a member of the genome center and UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on developing both classical machine learning and deep learning-based methods for inferring gene regulation from -omics data, ultimately for predicting how genetic and environmental variation impacts human phenotypes. He obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Toronto in machine learning and computational biology, and completed postdoctoral research training at MIT.
