Richard Wilton

Speaker Bio

Richard Wilton works on petabyte-scale databases in the Institute for Data Intensive Engineering and Science in the department of physics and astronomy at Johns Hopkins University. He designed and implemented data-transformation workflows for the Pan-STARRS astronomical survey database. He is the lead developer of Arioc, the GPU-Based DNA sequence aligner that was used to prepare data for the NIH-funded Terabase Search Engine repository.
