Speaker Bio

Rob Neely is a computations employee at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory with over 25 years of experience in HPC and scientific software development. He is the program coordinator for computing environments in the weapons and complex integration directorate and the associate division leader in the center for applied scientific computing. In these roles, he coordinates and oversees software activities and research within the advanced scientific computing program to prepare for the challenging new era of exascale computing. He also leads the U.S. Exascale Computing Project's software ecosystem and delivery focus area, and has led the Sierra Center of Excellence, a partnership with IBM and NVIDIA to prepare mission-critical codes for the Sierra system.
