Charlene Yang

Application Performance Consultant, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

Speaker Bio

Charlene Yang is an application performance consultant at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her work focuses on performance characterization, optimization, and portability. She works with code teams in the NERSC exascale science application program to help identify code performance bottlenecks and advise on code optimization. This is part of the application readiness effort at NERSC to ensure major user codes transition smoothly between systems and that they're prepared for upcoming architectures. She's published a number of papers on the model, provided tutorials, and given talks at SC and ISC. Charlene is also part of the effort to upskill the more general NERSC user community.
